Setting up your team involves a number of steps with each person on the team:
- Education: do they understand your child the same way you do?
- Issues: what do they see as the priorities for your child?
- Goals: for the priority issues, what would they like to work towards?
- Committment to the team: are they willing to work with you?
- Progress and communication: how are you going to work together?
