Psychology Services at the CDN

Child development involves highly complex processes of physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. A psychologist trained in child development is able to support children, their families, and other organisations such as schools or preschools in identifying areas of concern, developing strengths and building resilience. 

Robyn Miller is a psychologist with a Masters of Psychology (Educational and Developmental). Robyn provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment service for children and their families through the CDN.

Robyn is also a practicing Speech Language Pathologist and is able to provide differential assessment for children with complex learning and language difficulties.

  • Initial interview
  • Cognitive assessment (intelligence testing)
  • Learning difficulties assessment
  • Assessment of attention and attention control
  • Behavioural difficulties assessment
  • Differential assessment (for complex problems involving learning, language, social and/or emotional difficulties

Treatment and management services:

Focused intervention using evidence-based strategies for:

  • Anxiety management
  • Emotional control
  • Anger management
  • Attention control and self-regulation
  • Specific skill development related to learning difficulties
  • Social skills and communication
