Step 6. Information about Specific Medications

This page contains links to documents that describe the medications that we use for child development and behaviour disorders.

The information is NOT comprehensive, and is presented as a guide only. The full information for each medication is included in the Product Information, a sheet of paper that comes with the medication.

Step 5. How to trial the medication.

The process by which you trial your child's medication should involve the following steps.

Step 4. The symptoms you will be treating with medication

This is a very important step where you build a list of observable behaviours (symptoms) that you (and others involved such as your child's teacher) will use to decide if the medication is doing its job.

We suggest you consult with your child's teacher when putting these lists together - to capture the behaviours at school as well as at home that you are going to use to evaluate how well the medication is doing its job.

There are two groups of symptoms: Attention / Impulse control, and Emotional control.
